S2S joins Wilderness Inquiry and the DC Bird Alliance to talk citizen science with veterans and their families!

S2S tabled at a wonderful Blue Star Families event this past weekend at Bladensburg Water Front Park in Maryland with @WildernessInquiry and the @DCBirdAlliance. The wind was calm and the fall weather was beautiful for dozens of military families to paddle the Anacostia River in canoes, take a birding walk, observe a red tail hawk up close, and learn about all the ways to get involved in #citizenscience while outdoors. S2S Director Michael Cohn was able to speak more about S2S’s efforts to engage veterans in Citizen Science around the country while supporting programming provided by our partners.
