S2S Executive Director Michael Cohn takes family on Falconry Adventure!

S2S Executive Director Michael Cohn was gifted a trip to Falconry Excursion in Goshen, New York, and he took his family members on the adventure! The children had a wonderful time meeting all the creatures who lived there, and learning from their caretakers. S2S wanted to share about this amazing experience and encourage others to consider visiting the site. No matter how old you are, meeting these majestic creatures is a once in a lifetime experience. Mike and his family toured the grounds, got to meet a number of beautiful native and exotic birds of prey ambassadors, and took a Harris hawk out flying!

As S2S continues to develop new field science opportunities around the country, we encourage you to use tools like SciStarter to search for opportunities to participate in citizen science. Sometimes just getting out of the house and away from the screens can be really uplifting for people of all ages.

As we continue to reach out to military veterans to encourage them to participate in citizen science, we also recognize how everyone can enjoy it. We hope you take a deep dive into what this world has to offer! Check out the photos below!
